Dutch Reach to keep cyclists safe

Measures to help protect cyclists, including the dutch reach, have been proposed for the new Highway Code.
The Dutch reach method includes opening the door with your hand furthest from the door handle, forcing you to look out of the driver side window to look for passing cyclists.
Figures show that 3,100 people were injured and eight killed in such circumstances between 2011 and 2015. Safety is of growing concern on the UK road network, and improving cyclist awareness is a key step in reducing preventable deaths - our goal here at K-Safe.
If you haven‘t already, why don’t you sign up for our preview release of Busby and be amongst the first wave of cyclists to benefit from our enhanced cycling safety platform.
