An uphill ride

After 3 years of hard development work, 9-5 day jobs followed by 4-5 hours development work, it’s fair to say it’s been an uphill ride for the Busby team.

Our COO, Barry, was knocked off his bike 3 years ago, suffering terrible injuries. It was then with our technical backgrounds, we pulled together and decided to make a change to this common problem on our roads.

We believe Busby will be the most significant road safety development since the airbag. Notifying vehicle drivers of the presence of a vulnerable road user, in a dangerous proximity whilst encouraging people to jump back on their bikes and feel safer.

November is our Alpha phase launch month, full of exciting meetings with important influencers to help boost the profile of our free, road safety application.

With over 60,000 accidents and 16,070 deaths or seriously injured vulnerable road users in 2017, Busby aims to eradicate these figures one audible notification at a time.

Hopefully for accident figures, the awful death toll and for us, it feels more like a downhill ride from here.
